Hufflepuff defeated Ravenclaw in this weekends match 110-70. They will face Gryffindor next weekend.

Open House – Faculty/Parents Meet and Greet

The faculty and parent meet and greet will be held on August 28, 2010, which is the Friday before school starts for students. The event targets parents of current students and newly enrolled students. This will be an opportunity for the parents to meet the faculty and the teachers their children will have. The parents will be provided lunch, receive a tour of the campus and attend short meetings headed by the Principal and selected staff members to talk about finances, frequently asked questions, and the curriculum.

Information Session – Faculty Training

The faculty training will be held twice a year -- once in August and once in February. The first scheduled training will be on August 26, 2010 before the students start school. The second training will be on February 25, 2011. Because this is a Friday and students will not be on vacation, it will be considered a professional day and the students will have the day off. This event will target the faculty so that they are well trained and competent workers. At the faculty training, handbooks will be given out on safety procedures for dormitories, classrooms, and campus. Fire drill procedures and new rules will be taught. Faculty will have a chance to meet with their departments and go over the curriculum and other relevant topics for that time.

Along with the two major sessions there will be smaller monthly meetings.

This is done to so everyone has a better understanding of what we are doing to fix the problems at Hogwarts.
